How to make my admin gallery private ?
on:
#1
I want to make my own Gallery private and I am the Board Admin.  I went into Admin to try to figure it out and I just could not figure out which setting I would have to check off.

The reason, I make Avatars for people and sometimes they want them as *gifts* for someone else and my members are snooping in my own Gallery to check them out and they can see these *gifts*....*laffs*  I don't want any of my members to see what I have loaded to my own Gallery.  I should be the only one who can see them and be able to grab the links.  I still want to be able to view my members's galleries though.

By The Way, would members be able to make their own galleries private where only each individual and myself could see them?  Just asking incase one of my members asks.

Thank you for always helping me with my problems...

There are two type of galleries main categories which the admin can create categories and any forum member can post to by default.

The second type is a personal gallery. Accessed via the MyGallery Link.

For main categories as admin you can quick on the permissions link for the category and deny permission for other membergroups for each membergroup.

For mygallery categories. You can make your own gallery private under the MyGallery link.

As long as the membergroup of the user has the Personal Gallery permission under gallery permissions they can create their own mini personal gallery. If you want to allow private galleries check "Disable User Gallery private gallery function" and make sure that is not checked. Then when a user visits their mygallery settings area they can make their own private gallery.
