My mods and I have noticed an increase in cases where tagging a member with @username does not generate a link to the user or trigger a notification to them either, it used to happen occasionally but I'm told this is becoming more common. Is this a known issue?

If I click on the IP address of a post, the IP address search tells me that there are no members and no posts associated with that IP address, which obviously can't be right as this happens even for my own IP or the IP of my admins / mods. Could this be looked into please?

Only my admins can see the the "Topic ID" at the top of each post, is there any way I can make this visible to moderators / global moderators as well?

Suggestions / Locking threads for everyone bar mods & original poster, until original poster responds

Had this request from one of my mods:

Bit of a long shot, but..

It would IMHO be useful to have a function to lock a thread to all but the OP (and mods).

Case in point, new poster started a thread stating that he had received a late NIP (issued late) and another letter sent on the same day saying that his details on the V5C are incorrect.

SP concisely and correctly replied advising him to check his V5C (which he likely doesn't have as it would presumably have gone to the incorrect address on the V5C).

The OP hasn't been active in the last 24 hours (since before SP's reply) but others have weighed in with their ill-considered theories.

Unless and until the OP comes back, everything is just noise, and locking the thread to stop morons making unnecessary noise would stop the OP replying (if he ever comes back).

Would something like this be possible?

Is there a way to recover deleted topics, or is this a feature that could be requested?

I know we could just move stuff to a "hidden" board that but's awfully more fiddly than just hitting the delete button.

Something really weird that's just been reported to me: The post at https://www.ftla.uk/civil-penalty-charge-notices-(councils-tfl-and-so-on)/received-a-parking-ticket-hackney-council/ comes up fine if I open it in incognito mode (not logged in, fresh session), but both the user who reported it and I get this error message:



Any ideas?

In terms of usability for other forums, maybe there could be an on/off switch in the admin section?


Also I think something in the code doesn't distinguish between

[/i] and [/indent]
as I've had a few issues with text that is both in italics and indented. The workaround is to use nested tags, but it would be better if the platform could properly distinguish the two.

Quick technical questions:


1) Is it possible to change the font size in quoted text? Some of my users have complained it's a bit small
2) Is it possible to get some indent buttons, like the ones you get in Microsoft Word /  Libreoffice Writer, so that one doesn't have to manually type the tags?
