In terms of usability for other forums, maybe there could be an on/off switch in the admin section?

as I've had a few issues with text that is both in italics and indented. The workaround is to use nested tags, but it would be better if the platform could properly distinguish the two.

Quick technical questions:
1) Is it possible to change the font size in quoted text? Some of my users have complained it's a bit small
2) Is it possible to get some indent buttons, like the ones you get in Microsoft Word / Libreoffice Writer, so that one doesn't have to manually type the tags?

I'm new on here so my apologies if this has been answered before, but I couldn't find anything after a search.
Firstly, is there a way to set a default image width for when people add in-line images in a post? Ideally I'd like the width option on the images wizard to be pre-populated with let's say 1200 or thereabouts.
Also my moderator says he can't see IP addresses, is there a way to enable him to see them?
