Okay, I personally believe that adding a feature like this would be extremely helpful. It would definitely give your service a unique feature to other free SMF hosts.

Hi,
I am wondering whether or not it is possible to divide forum categories into tabs regarding their specific subject. In other words, is it possible to do a "MyBB" style tab layout through this service? If not, will this be at all possible in the future?

Administration Control Panel - > eZ Portal "Settings" - > "Install and enable eZ Portal".
ezBlock Manager - > "Add ezBlock" - > Add "Board News ezBlock".
There will be a drop down selection named "Select board for News". The selected option will show posts from on your homepage. If you want to limit the amount of posts shown, you can do so by editing the box "Number of News items to show" to your desired amount. If need further assistance, I will be glad to help.

I am not quite positive on what you are asking. I believe I understand, though.
You want there to be 50 posts per-page when a user enters a board. If that is the case, I will post instructions on how to do so.
Administration Control Panel - > Posts and Topics - > Topic Settings - > "Number of topics per page in the message index". < - Change the number in the box to 50.

Yes, this can be done.
You need to create a new board, and change the "Permission Profile" to "reply only".
Instructions,
Administration Control Panel - > Boards - > Add Board (In desired category) - > "Permission Profile" (5th option down).

Yes, this can be done.
Instructions below,
Administration Control Panel - > Member Groups - > Add Member Group.
You need to change the "Group Type" to "Protected" (Only Administrators can manage, and assign members to this group.)
