How can you change the meta name of your forum?

Meta name (the description that appears in a search engine) I need to do this so that my forum has a higher ranking in search engines.

You can add meta tags to your forum by going to the Headers and Footers section found in the Style Manager.

i even got a code for it and i inserted in all headers footers body but it didn't work

You're supposed to insert the code inside the metatags area.

You don't need the slash at the end.

It doesn't actually change the description

It takes time for search engines to notice this. Also, it's Google's choice to even use that as a description.
