IP Address for Sub Domain

Hi,


I have an existing website at url www.pangyao.hk (hosted on Heroku).  Currently, my forum url is pangyaohk.createaforum.com, but I would like to create a new subdomain and change it to forum.pangyao.hk.


My hosting provider has advised that I can create a new subdomain through the control panel, but said that I require the IP address of my forum in order to create it.  Are you able to provide this please?  They advised me not to change the nameservers as it may disrupt my main pangyao.hk site (which I don't want).

I've now created a new A record as per attached, for subdomain forum.pangyao.hk.  Can you please advise how I can now update my existing domain pangyaohk.createaforum.com to this one?

• Is it possible to set up as secure https?  Currently it is only http which I think may put people off from signing up as it shows as not secure
• Is it possible to set up links for both forum.pangyao.hk AND www.forum.pangyao.hk?  Do I need to set up a separate record with my hosting provider for this and are you able to link it if I do?

Further to my additional questions below, after further checking there seems to be a problem with the new url linking.  Although forum.pangyao.hk successfully brings me to the home page, when I click on any of the boards, nothing happens (i.e. it just stays on the same page and doesn't link to the board).  Can you please check and advise?

Https possible but it starts at $50 a url for us to order and setup ssl

I wouldn't do both forum and www that could cause issues

OK thanks...  If I did want to arrange that, how long does it take and how should I arrange?  Do I just let you know on here?

For SSL click under forum upgrades. And there is a couple options for SSL in terms of length.

Thanks, I may go ahead with that shortly.  Though when I buy, do I put the original url (pangyaohk.createaforum, see attachment) rather than the new linked one? As seems that is the only option (as it has to end with .createaforum). Thanks

Put in the createaforum I assume the url the forum is pointed to.
