Help re: attachments and galleries
« on: October 29, 2013, 07:26:18 am »
Hi I set up my forum just a few days ago and so far am happy with it . Yesterday though I go an email saying that we were almost up to our attachment level. Does this mean that there is a limit to the amount of attachments that can be added to messages. Also is it possible for each member to create their own gallery and if so how do they go about it.

Is it possible for me to send out messages that go to all members?

Yes there is a file space limit bu that can be increased with the purchase of more attachment/storage space upgrade.

Yes it is. You need to give the membergroup permissions under Gallery permissions give them "personal gallery" permission. That gives the users acess to the MyGallery link in the gallery system to setup their own mini gallery.

You can either do a topic announcement option.  Or we do have a newsletter system upgrade that allows you to send out an email or pm to all users. Which is also included in our ultimate plan.

I have now upgraded to the ultimate plan and as it is early days I am still finding my feet but we do have a problem as only the 2 administrators are able to see the galleries. No one else including global moderators have a gallery icon on the top menu bar. How can I change this so that all members can access the galleries  please.

Under Admin -> Permissions then modify each membergroup and give them the gallery permissions needed

I was going to ask how to increase the file sizes for adding attachments past what it currently is. I see My answer above. If I require larger it will cost Me. Something I am not able to afford at the moment. Having said that I am looking at purchasing the Downloads program in the future.
