Category bar, text, and background help

Hi.. I have been looking around the support forum here for ways to change the category bars to another image or color..
I dont know where in the css to change it.. I also need help with changing the text color on the in categories, right now its orange, and i want to add an image color for the forums color and remove that lavender color.

I have three topics in this board that are stickied that explains how to find and create your own css code to your liking. There aren't anyone in this support forum that does any styling at the moment so those three topics are your best bet.

I saw the topics, read them and I still cannot understand them.. I even googled this..

I just changed some topic icons and saved them, and somehow they went back to the defaults.. How'd that happen?

The topic icons feature to change the images is bugged? So... is this going to be fixed anytime soon?
I am new as of today and have been checking out forums for host my forum.. I thought this would be a good one where i could pay for ad removal, and other things.

I cant figure out how to change the orange text on my forum for one, and i cant seem to get rid of the lavendar color on my forum..
Is that bugged too?

Having a few more problems as well..
1. Adding to the ez block portal, nothing is taking..
2. Is there any way to hide a category on the forum instead of collapsing it? I have this particular board linked to a tab and i dont need it to show on the forum.

Your original post didn't explain what you were stuck on in the process of reading the three topics.
I don't know if changing the images will be fixed soon but I will make a code for it later.
Changing your css isn't bugged, you just need knowledge of how to edit it.
Creating an ezPortal only creates another page for your forum, you need to create ezBlocks to display content on it.
I don't think there is a way of hiding a certain category however if you just want to link a few topics from your tabs, you can create new webpages using the Page Manager.
