I'm not sure I know what you mean by "permanent forum"?

Check this out and see if it works for you: Shop Code

Xboi will have to help you with things past that.

To do this, you'll need to go to Admin CP > Boards

Select the board you'd like for the Moderators only to see, and click edit.

In there, uncheck all groups except the groups you'd like to be able to access the board!

Hmm strange. What's your forum's URL? And have any of your other members experienced that problem?

You'd need to create the hidden membergroup via Admin CP > Membergroups

Then set the board to allow only "hidden" to see it by going to Admin CP > Boards

And then go to the user's profile that you'd like to add to the group, click "Account Related Settings" and change their primary membergroup to "Hidden"

Go through and make sure the rest of the boards you already have created allow "Hidden" to have access also.

So the question is, do you want everyone to be able to see it? or JUST moderators?

I think what they want is this:

Quote from: MODERATOR
Moderator message

Where everyone can see it, but it is from a moderator or admin?

Those are the same thing except they are different software. The one you want is not an SMF forum.

These forums use SMF 2.0.

The only way to do that is to hit "Quote" and then copy the contents that appear in the quick reply box and paste them into your new reply on another topic.

Doing so will make it appear exactly as below. Where you can click the name/time and date and it will redirect you to the original post.

Hello
I have a case where I wish to to quote from one thread into a reply of another thread.

I see how to do it quoting into a reply within the same thread.

Is it possible to do this without doing the normal copy and paste please.

I have searched here and did not find anything to aid me.

I looked at the guide list however nothing in there seemed to stand out.

Perhaps I am missing it
Thanks
Rob

Did you click "Update Forum URL" before waiting 48 hours? That will do it.

What you need to try first is clearing your browser's cache/cookies.

Just follow the instructions in this guide

For a global moderator that has moderator abilities over the whole forum, go to: User's Profile > Account Settings
Next to Primary membergroup: find Global Moderator in the drop down menu.

For moderator priveledges over one specific board, go to Admin CP > Boards
Select modify on that board and then type that user's name in the text box next to Moderators:
