I see a box to enable shout box so clicked on that and saved setting. I cannot see a shout box anywhere.
Yes I am somewhat  a novice with this setting.

I went into Admin and looked at Ezportal On each it says this "ezPortal allows you to setup a portal for your forum. Including a custom homepage along with blocks that can placed on your forum." with a link to install.

I clicked on that and have it 'installed'. How do I know add My Cbox please?
Oh it says that My Ezportal is not up to date. It shows as version 1.1 and says there is a version 1.2.
I am completely lost to be honest..

Hello support people,

For some time now since I first created my forum (The New Retreat) I have included coding for  Cbox  in the header.

Earlier this year I changed some coding/words for something else I also had in the header.

Today I went to change this and got this message  "Chatboxes are not allowd in headers and footers. If you wish to use add the code to an ezportal page.". Why has this apparently changed?

I do not use EzPortal at all so why am I getting this message when all I wish to do is to change some text I have in there about paint nights?

My forum is which I have had for 3 years in October.

As at this time I do not wish to install EzPortal so how am I able to change said text I wish to change please?

Where else am I am able include the Cbox coding I currently use, if at all?

Ps I do not feel I have enough expertise to install Ezportal if that is the only solution.

I have a similar situation however I do not use EzyPortal.
I created a custom tab to make it easier for members to go to a certain category. That works fine. I used this url
My 'problem' is I went to create another one to go a different category. I cannot work out the URL to use for the second one.
I used the same one and of course it takes Me to same category.
How do I work out what the URL should be for the second custom tab please and where would I find it? I checked out the FAQ and the tutorials but was not able to find anything.

I asked the question before and received no replies.
Why is that my forum  has only 2 choices in the Profiles Notifications area where another forum I belong to the profiles show 3 options.
The extra choice is to do with "Receive forum newsletters, announcements and important notifications by email.". This is a turn on turn off type option as are the other 2.
Why would this be?
Is this available as an upgrade?
I checked admin and was not able to find this anywhere.
Sure hope your admin is able to give me an answer and some help in rectifying this for me.

I have noticed that in some forums I belong My profile shows under Notifications as this:
[ ]  Receive forum newsletters, announcements and important notifications by email.

[ ]  Turn notification on when you post or reply to a topic.

[ ]  When sending notification of a reply to a topic, send the post in the email (but please don't reply to these emails.)

For topics and boards I've requested notification on, notify me:  [Instantly Instantly - but only for the first unread reply Daily Weekly ]

For topics and boards I've requested notification on, notify me of:  Replies and moderation Moderation only if I started the topic Only replies Nothing at all

At my own forum it shows without the top one viz  Receive forum newsletters, announcements and important notifications by email.

   Why is that this field is not showing on my forum?
My forum is
Am I missing something? Is it possible I am 'not up to date?
I tried adding it as a Custom Profile however there is no way to place it under notifications.
Sure hope some one is able to help.

  I have a case where I wish to to quote from one thread into a reply of another thread.
I see how to do it quoting into a reply within the same thread.
Is it possible to do this without doing the normal copy and paste please.
I have searched here and did not find anything to aid me.
I looked at the guide list however nothing in there seemed to stand out.

I notice that when I modify gallery, I d not have the latest version. How do I get that please and then how do I update/install it?
How do I include in bulk uploads the warning about Adult content that is available when uploading single pictures? Is there a chance that will be included in a later revision?
Why do thumbnails only show sometimes and not 'all the time'? Is it in the settings  causing that?
How do I set that pictures that are added (uploaded by members) are flagged for approval before they show?
Ps I like Gallery very much a very usual tool for My forum, however one or two modifications would be of great help
A user guide for non computer litterate ppl woiuld be a great help
