That was my thinking as well, Trouble is some of my downloads can't be made available to all like the tester group.

The Error Messge Is: "you are not allowed to download a file from this category."

Im using my other account to test I have checked main permissions which allow downloading of files.

My test acount has a main category or tester set this has been checked.

My other account can donload files from a category with the permissions set in image below
But not with the permissions set in both below:

Just updated one of my other accounts to primary group testers but still unble to download from that category it does only have 2 with permissions to download admin and testers rest can view only.

I have just added a new category Here https://www.databasedreams.co.uk/index.php?action=downloads Testers files
permissions have been added to allow testers to download files but all others other than admin cannot downloadfiles from this groupI am able to download the file butI have updated a members Sub Groups to include the required testers group permissions but he was not able to download the file and recieved the following message.

You are not allowed to download a file in this category.

I then added him to the testers groups as his primary group and made his current group a sub group but he was still unable to download the files He has downloaded files in the past.

Edit the member has tried other downloads in other groups without any problems I'm going to try recreating the group but as a sub group then move to primary group

This seems to have sorted it's self out now so seems to be for the first week and might be something to do with google as deleted the old site index and added a new one now google have indexed it It may be deemed safe??
