You guys should help with this please  :'(

The response from iPage (after 18 days), says the following;

Thanks for the response.

In fact I am trying to transfer / move away from iPage (not transfer to iPage) as they were not able to fix the issue over the last 14 days.

Now that I am planning to transfer the domain to GoDaddy, please advise the steps that I need to follow (to point the domain to my forum).

By the way, do you keep any back-up files of the forums with custom names? While I try to get the forum online again, it would be great to have the content/back up files to work on.

Thank you so much.

I would be interested to know if any other forum owners faced this issue.

As per the instructions, I have been trying to get iPage to point the name servers to the IP 184.171.171.98.

After two weeks of communications, I have given up the idea of iPage. Can I transfer my domain name www.freezonesreview.com to some other registrar (Godaddy for example?).

Thank you.

General Support / Website link in Member Profile
« on: January 23, 2013, 12:59:24 pm »
One of my members entered the details of his website while registering in my forum. But as an admin, when I click on the website icon in the member's profile, it takes me to Create A Forum page with the message "Hmmm, we can not find a forum with that address".

I think this is a problem related to one of my earlier concerns: the test links that I placed for ads were taking the users away from the forum. The URL of the page was reading "www.myforumdomain.com/www.memberwebsite.com. Since I have already started promoting my forum, please do something about it urgently. I can not afford to have any bugs at this stage. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

Suggestions / Some suggestions
« on: January 21, 2013, 05:59:54 pm »
I have the following suggestions:

- Social Media login for custom domain users (Facebook, linkedin, twitter and google+)
- Social media share button for all the posts (twitter, linkedin and google+ can be added in addition to facebook)
- More SEO customisation

I'm very happy with my forum that I created with CAF. But the above features would really help in marketing it well.

FIXED IT  :)

I think the only pending issue is the on site advertisements taking the visitors away from the forum.

The forum is going live guys....Thanks a million for making this happen :)

Will test this....with my limited technical skills, it would take time ;)

By the way, I have trouble with the order of the posts....the latest ones are appearing on top. I want the original post on top and replies to follow.

Tried the Admin-Layout Settings-Member Options and reset everything to default but it doesn't work.

Absolutely no problems....I do understand.

Will post the comments on Suggestions board.

Meanwhile, I have been testing my Forum using Google Webmaster tools. The result shows that there is no Site Map submitted for the forum. I'm not sure how to upload the dynamic Site Maps. Is there any restrictions for forums with custom domain name?

Tried to create a Site Map online, but the file has to be uploaded into the domain root folder. Would you be able to help? Please let me know how to update the site map for a dynamic forum.

Brilliant.....this will be fine till we have a permanent solution.

Thanks a million guys....you are of great help....it's really appreciated.

From whatever we have discussed here, I have certain suggestions to improve the features. Can I summarise them here or should I post on Suggestions board?

Thanks again.

Hello CAF and xboi209,

Could you please give me a hint on the possibilities of removing the Help tab?

If you think you can make it within a few days, I can definitely wait. Please let me know if it would take longer. If that's the case, I will have to go ahead with the tab (I would be greatly disappointed with this as I was expecting a forum that was branded exclusively for me and that's the reason why I chose the unlimited plan :( ).

In either case, some directions from your side would be greatly appreciated as it would help me to take a final decision on this at the earliest.

Thank you.

Just noticed that event the ads on this forum takes the user to a different site :-[  You guys should be equally worried if not more! Please find a solution for us ;D

Help tab?? Just waiting on this one to start promoting my forum (sorry to sound very desperate, but I am very eager to see some results after a lot of learning and efforts put into this).

That's really sad!! Is there any chance that we could include the social logins in the future?

How long it may take to remove the "Help" tab? What should be done to open the ads on a different window or tab?

I can't thank you guys enough.

It is strange - my login screen doesn't have this :-[

I am very sorry, but, could not see the option to sign in using any of the social media anywhere in my forum  :( . I checked all the possible login options (from top left corner and from the menu bar) but did not see any option to sign in using social media accounts.

In addition, tried the FB Post Topics System under Admin>Configuration>FB Post Topics System>Sign in with your Facebook Account.

But it showed An error occurred. Please try again later

So I tried Profile>Social Login Merge Account> and clicked on facebook icon....but again I received the message "Failed - Invalid site Domain". So I'm kind of stuck there.

Now moving on to the Ad Seller Pro, there have been some improvements in the results :)

I was able to test some text ads and everything seems to be fine except that the link takes the user from the forum to the target website (it does not open in a new window or tab). Any solutions?

Should I keep the tab "Advertise" on to see the Ad Locations. I activated the tab once, but now it does not go away when opted out of it!

Most important question of all - how long it may take to remove the help tab from the forum? This is very critical for me.

Apologies for so many questions but I think it will help everyone here.
