That would be under Profile>Forum Profile. :)

Unfortunately there is no way to change the CreateAForum subdomain. The best you could do would be buying a domain and parking it.

Please only advertise in the advertisement board. :)

It is just a matter of advertising well and having a forum appealing to a large demographic. No magic solution. :)

Admin>CP>Members>Permissions>Global Moderators>Modify>Member Administration

Check the box that says "Moderate Forum Members." Note that this gives those users several other powers as well.

Quote
-access to registration management
-access to the view/delete members screen
-extensive profile info, including track IP/user and (hidden) online status
-activate accounts
-get approval notifications and approve accounts
-immune to ignore PM
several small things

We have ads on forums already and typically do not allow users to add more. Please see the TOS.

Admin>CP>Config>Layout Settings>Theme Settings

Check the box that says "Hide post group titles for grouped members:" This will hide the Newbie part.

If you want a secondary line saying you are staff, like where "CAF Support Team" appears for me here, go to your forum profile settings under the profile tab and add it as your custom title. Make sure those are enabled:

Admin>CP>Config>Features and Options

Check "Enable Custom Titles"

Suggestions / Re: new idea
« on: October 10, 2012, 02:37:12 pm »
We would like to respect individuals rights to privacy- we don't need everyone to see a ban list. In addition, banned individuals cannot see posts on the forums, so this wouldn't be helpful for them.

As for users who have warnings/mutes, they may contact a member of the Moderator team for information concerning their punishment.

Suggestions / Re: another suggestion

It is my opinion that this is a support forum- we provide support for users on this service. This purpose should be above all others, and this isn't exactly a place to hang out and chill.

In addition, the internet reaches all corners of the earth, and i'd assume that our active members are far spaced out. Not to mention, I wouldn't ever advise anyone to meet another individual they've met over the internet unless they are very, very careful about doing so. (There is hardly a chance I would ever do so.)

If you wish to have your forum deleted, remove all posts from everywhere in the forum and that should trigger its delete next time there is a server sweep.

Spell check is not enabled with the service- now it is usually built into the web browser.

Each forum is created with one url (FORUMNAME.createaforum.com) and you cannot change the URL of the forum.

This is called your "Personal Text" and can be hidden through a code in your footers. Admin>CP>Style Manager>Headers and Footers:

First, ensure you have JQuery on your forum headers-
Code: [Select]
<script src="https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.7.2/jquery.min.js"></script>And place this in your footers:
Code: [Select]
<script type="text/javascript">
/*Code by Alex of Create A Forum Support- http://support.createaforum.com/index.php?action=profile;u=7*/
$("li.blurb").hide();
</script>
