Guides and Tutorials / Re: IP Address for Sub Domain

Thanks, I may go ahead with that shortly.  Though when I buy, do I put the original url (pangyaohk.createaforum, see attachment) rather than the new linked one? As seems that is the only option (as it has to end with .createaforum). Thanks

OK thanks...  If I did want to arrange that, how long does it take and how should I arrange?  Do I just let you know on here?

Hi,

Further to my additional questions below, after further checking there seems to be a problem with the new url linking.  Although forum.pangyao.hk successfully brings me to the home page, when I click on any of the boards, nothing happens (i.e. it just stays on the same page and doesn't link to the board).  Can you please check and advise?

Thanks

Thanks!  A couple of further questions:

 • Is it possible to set up as secure https?  Currently it is only http which I think may put people off from signing up as it shows as not secure
 • Is it possible to set up links for both forum.pangyao.hk AND www.forum.pangyao.hk?  Do I need to set up a separate record with my hosting provider for this and are you able to link it if I do?

Hi,

I've now created a new A record as per attached, for subdomain forum.pangyao.hk.  Can you please advise how I can now update my existing domain pangyaohk.createaforum.com to this one?

Thanks

Guides and Tutorials / IP Address for Sub Domain
« on: December 22, 2019, 05:21:49 am »
Hi,

I have an existing website at url www.pangyao.hk (hosted on Heroku).  Currently, my forum url is pangyaohk.createaforum.com, but I would like to create a new subdomain and change it to forum.pangyao.hk.

My hosting provider has advised that I can create a new subdomain through the control panel, but said that I require the IP address of my forum in order to create it.  Are you able to provide this please?  They advised me not to change the nameservers as it may disrupt my main pangyao.hk site (which I don't want).

Thanks

Style Support / Cannot find menu icons to replace

Hi,

I'm trying to replace the menu icons (e.g. search, admin, moderate etc., as per the attached screenshot) but I cannot find them listed under customize images.  For example, the search icon https://cdn.smfboards.com/caf/images/menu_icons/star.png is not listed there.  Can you please advise where I can find it so I can replace it?

Hi,

I am potentially interested in upgrading to the ultimate plan though I have a few points to clarify:

 • Is the plan month on month and can be cancelled any time, or is there a minimum contract?
 • I am particularly interested in Ad Seller Pro and including my own ads, but is there anywhere I can see a demo of this and how it actually works? In particular on the mobile version of the forum, which is whereI expect the majority of users to be viewing the site

Thanks

Style Support / CSS not updating
« on: December 16, 2019, 07:15:41 am »
Hi,

I made a number of changes to my CSS yesterday, which was working ok.  However, when I have tried again today, any updates I make and then click on 'Modify Style' are not being reflected.  Please see attached as an example; I have changed the text colour of .table_list tbody.content td.info a.subject to white, but when I display the page, it is still showing up as the original orange colour.  Can you please advise what I am doing wrong and why it is not getting updated, even though it is reflected in the Style Manager?  Thanks
