Suggestions / "Who Changed My Karma?" And Why?
« on: March 23, 2019, 10:53:19 pm »
Hi!  On our old SMF-based forum (not a Create A Forum forum), when we gave karma, it took us to a field to enter the reason for the karma change.  When you clicked "submit," it took you back to the post you were viewing.
We also the ability to see who changed our karma and on what post, and whose karma we had changed.   When we received karma, we got a PM from the system notifying us of Karma received; it had a link to our karma log and a link to the post on which karma was changed.
Could we have that feature, please?  It would be reallynice to know who changed our karma and why.  Thanks!

Thanks!

By the way, we're really enjoying Create A Forum so far and I really appreciate the support we're getting. :)

Thanks!   :)
The thing is ... I disabled the logo.  Or thought I had!
Okay, just FYI, when using Firefox, I've deleted that url from the logo field and clicked "Save" about 15 times.  The url is still there every time when the page reloads after clicking on "Save."   I've had that happen a lot using Firefox where I've had to do an action in the administrative section several times before it would work and save.  For some reason, the logo field never cooperates. :(

I went in on Chrome and deleted the url, clicked save, and it finally took.

General Support / Broken Image Icon in Chrome

My forum address is https://wildthyme.createaforum.com/index.php

Loaded in Firefox, everything looks just fine.

Loaded in Chrome, I get one of those broken image icons in the header.  Everything in the header is working, though.

That did work, thanks!  Funny how the custom icons don't mind spaces in the titles, but the CSS does.  You learn something new every day!

Thanks.  I did go and retry one of the built-in styles and it didn't give me the same error.

However, with the CSS style I pulled from this section, I get the gaps that I'm seeing.  (Firefox, Windows 10).  I think I saw someone say that there was an SMF update after those styles were created.  Any thoughts on what the fix might be?
I'm using this stylesheet: https://support.createaforum.com/6/(stylesheet)-curvy-caramel/msg934/#msg934

Hi, so like some others have posted, I really like the St. Patrick's style overall, mostly due to the header image with the shamrock.

1. I tried modifying the CSS and putting my image in the shamrock's place; however, the entire header just disappeared.
2. So, I created a new style, named WildThyme, and copied the St. Patrick's style into it, then changed the header image address.  Still no luck.
This is what the code looked like both times.

Code: [Select]
/* the framing graphics */
#header
{
    padding-left: 20px;
    background: url(https://wildthyme.createaforum.com/styles/wildthyme/files/4093_wild thyme.png) bottom;
    margin: 0 auto;
    width: 97%;
}
#header div.frame
{
    display: block;
    padding: 5px 20px 1em 0;
}

What am I doing wrong?  I've found other people who said they had the same problem on old posts, but they never shared how they fixed it!

Style Support / Help, please: New Styles Affect Admin Center
« on: March 13, 2019, 03:04:52 pm »
So, when I try using any of the built-in style options or entering the CSS for a style I found here, every one of them messes with the administration center.  The menu stays at the top, but the work area ends up down at the bottom about level with the left menu, leaving just an expanse between.
Any ideas how to fix that?  (And small, simple words, please, I'm a CSS newbie! Lol!)
