Change made

Just watched one of our threads hit the 24 hour mark of inactivity and it disappeared right on schedule. Thank You Again, works perfect!

It is from the forum's time zone midnight to midnight

Would it be possible to make the 24 hour period from the last time a post was made in that thread instead of clearing the whole page at midnight? For example if a post was made at 10pm, is there a way to keep it in "today's posts" until 10pm the next night (instead of just 2 hours) if no more posts are made in it?

I was on our forum and some posts were less than an hour or only a couple hours old, but once midnight struck, the whole list was cleared.

Basically just asking if each post can be kept there until there is 24 hours of inactivity in that thread.

This was our "today's posts" page shortly before midnight, but then they all disappeared. Thank you again for your help!

What is the time-frame for "today"? Is it the user's midnight to midnight?

Something I just added doing an announcement about it now.

I've tested it and I think it's a HUGE improvement, Thank You very much!!

Under admin -> permissions modify each member group
And check "View Today's Posts"

Thank You, I'll have one of the Admin's turn it on and see if it helps out.

Just curious, is this a new feature you just added? or something we missed?

Would have to be built but will see what I can do.

Thank you, it would be very helpful to have as our threads are dying too quickly... nobody wants to search through each section of the forum, they just want to see all the recent posts in one place.

For example, on this forum, when I click "discussions" all threads remain on that page in order and the ones that are unread have a blue line next to them (far left)

And on this forum when I click "today's posts", all threads also remain in order. The threads I have read display as regular text, the unread display as bold

Is there a way to see a listing of all recent threads in the order they were last posted in?

The "recent posts" section is very hard to follow as it's posts from all different threads. And once a new thread has been read it disappears from the "unread posts since last visit" section

It would be very handy (and a lot less likely for threads to be missed by members) if in the top left there was an option "Show recent threads"

I saw it yes but there is already admin level settings to set the default option used I posted admin screesnhots earlier in this post.

But is there a way to make only one option as Jim pointed out? As in only "inline full-size image"?

In his video above, it shows that when posting our 2nd, 3rd, etc. picture we have to select the wrong option, delete it and then select "inline full-size image" This is far too difficult to explain to our members and too difficult for them to figure out, so they are simply not posting images at all...

It would be much easier to click "choose file" and have it added to the post automatically...

Yes, that makes sense Jim and I would really like to see it fixed as steps 3 and 4 are quite a nuisance and keeping many new members from trying to post...  :-\
