Hello,

What is the process of cancelling an Ad Credit Subscription? We need to cancel ours.

Thanks.

General Support / New Password Requirements?
« on: February 22, 2016, 08:57:35 pm »
I'm trying to change a password and it's saying passwords must be 8 characters now. The password is currently only 5 characters so this wasn't required before. Can we disable that?

All the test replies today have been instant, so it's good now. Not sure what happened yesterday.

One last question on notifications - is it possible to turn Notify on by default for a board? Any user with permission to the board would have notifications on by default for it.

Thank you.

That was it. I set SPF check to quarantine instead of block, and now I can see the messages. We just did a test thread, and the notification came through 3 hours later. Does it normally take that long? Thanks for the help.

I switched the email address to Gmail in the profile, and I receive the notification. However, we still don't receive anything to alohafreight.com. Our spam filter quarantines anything it detects as spam, and it's not there. I called support for Spam filter hosting, and they said they don't see any emails coming from createaforum.com.

Is there any troubleshooting that can be done over there to see if any notifications have been sent to alohafreight.com? Sorry for the trouble...we just really want to use the forum and paid to remove the ads.

I have tried several test topics from test user #1. Test user #1 creates the topic. Test user #2 clicks on the Reply button at the bottom of the screen and replies to the topic. No notification is received though. Notifications are on for test user #1 for the topic (and on by default in the profile).

This is a new forum, we just started test posting over the 2 weeks It's a parked domain forum - alohatest.createaforum.com points to forum.alohafreight.com. I had received a notification for a reply to my post on the General Support board, back on 12/9/15. Now I don't receive notifications for any of my posts on the General Support board either.

I don't even get notified on replies to this thread either. We just paid to remove ads, but this is not useable without notifications. Is there anything else that could be causing this problem?

Still not working..I can see Notify is on for the user on the test post. I reply from a test user and the notification is not sent.

It's now resolving to 64.79.105.31, but when I go to http://forum.alohafreight.com I'm still getting the error message:

server change in progress
Admin: If you are using a custom domain you must repoint your domains nameservers to ns1.createforum.com and ns2.createaforum.com

Is there something else that needs to be done? Thanks.

I just changed our DNS record for our forum to point to 64.79.105.31 (custom domain). Will that work? That's what I get when I ping both ns1.createaforum.com and ns2.createaforum.com. It should update in 20 minutes then start propagating.

General Chat / Notifications Issue
« on: February 06, 2016, 12:03:14 am »
None of my users are receiving notifications and reply notifications are on by default. This is a new forum that has not gone live yet, so I discovered this while testing it out. Is there some other setting I need to turn on? It is a parked domain, I read a post from 2011 that said this could be because of that.

General Support / Username Length

Is it possible to change to the maximum amount of characters for a username? It appears to be set to 25, but I'd like to have the option to allow more. Thank you.
