General Support / Re: Question about the 'no new posts' icon
« on: July 30, 2013, 04:09:25 pm »
Hi Wholesale! And thanks for your reply. I am certainly no expert, but I don't think I can accomplish what I want to do through modifying the boards. I think I need to modify the style somehow. I've been reading the stickies up at the top here in an effort to teach myself. My biggest problem is my lack of knowledge of CSS and html. But still, some things do make sense to me. ha ha

I am using the 'dark-blue' style theme that was available to me. My problem with modifying the style is that there is nothing at all there for me to modify. It's all blank.

I found an icon I would like to use on someone else's site for the 'no new posts' icon. It's just like the one I currently have only it's white and not dark grey.

I wonder why I don't have any style at all listed.

Btw, nice site you have. Thanks again. Maybe I can figure this out. It's something I really really don't like so I'm very intent on changing it.

:)

General Support / Question about the 'no new posts' icon

Can I change the color of it to white and how would I do that please? It looks like a dark dismal cloud on my page.

Any help will be appreciated! Actually it looks like a skull on a missing persons page. Very disturbing. I hope I can get it changed soon.

TIA

Hi! Thanks! Here's the link. I'm trying to get this set up because we are attempting to help find a missing person in our area. Hope you can help me.

Also, are thee any other smileys available? :)

Hi Thanks for the reply. I added an image to my header. And it's centered. That could be one of the reasons. I did just now notice that only when I create a new topic is the text centered.  I wish I knew where to find some different styles. Anyone know? LOL!

Hoping you can help. I'm using the 'light blue' style sheet that comes with the forum. It looks like everything is centered on this sheet. Can you please tell me how I can change it? If you go to post a reply it centers your reply by default. Seems hinky. LOL

TIA
