When accessing my forum the other day I got a full screen message from McAffee antivirus saying there was a moderate threat.

I tried accessing this forum to see if I got the same message and I did.


Any idea what's going on?

Style Support / Help with Christmas style

When on the Christmas style (tweaked) this happens:

Instead of...



Where is the error? What do I need to copy over from the default Christmas style to the one I tweaked (tweaked to change header properties - copying the header section into the Christmas style results in no changes whatsoever?).

Bugs / Bug with News on forum index

There are four different pieces of News on my forum.

On the Index, they used to change and fade from one to the other.

Now it just lists them and it doesn't look good.

Any ideas why, and how to fix this? ???

General Support / Tapatalk functionality

Just a few issues I'm having with regards to Tapatalk.


In the admin centre, each time I check 'Mobile Welcome Screen' it's removed when I click save. Any ideas why?


Secondly, how do I update the image and description of the forum on Tapatalk?


No problem necessarily including some CAF branding but would be nice to have some personalisation especially through the implementation of our logo. Is this possible?

Bugs / Issue with email notifications

Hi,


One member has just noticed that the wording of the email notifications is suddenly odd. Here is the email they relieved:


(Not letting me put an image here, see their attachment at http://cachewalker.createaforum.com/cachewalker-help-info/email-notifications/msg9514/

Clearly, the post name has been replaced by someone else's email subject.


Also, the "at" and "in" used to be the other way around in previous subject titles, I think?

General Support / Login message: "Forbidden. You do not have permission to access this server"

Hi, would be grateful for your help.


One member, who is actually an admin, his seen this message twice now when logging into our forum:


"Forbidden. You do not have permission to access /index.php on this server"


The following day, the member got the same message but with our forum address, http://cachewalker.createaforum.com/index.php, instead of '/index.php.'


Is there anything we can do to fix this, or is it an error on your end?

Style Support / Layout CHAOS

Please may someone just take a few moments to look at my forum at http://www.cachewalker.createaforum.com


Its layout is completely messed up. The header image we've added is meant to be there. But look where the news and slogan are. The user details had been removed and all of a sudden they appeared. Click on a thread - look at the layout.


I'm completely stuck as to what to do - all the CSS code my browser is showing when I inspect appears to be missing from the style, but yet it's right there in front of me.

Please, any suggestions for as to what to do?

Style Support / How to remove User details over the header??

Hi,


How do you remove the user details, as circled in the attachment?


Achieved it before but for can't remember now that we've switched styles for Christmas - have tried removing the div#upper_section parts with no luck - we'd like to remove it completely as we have an ezblock on our portal with the equivalent details  :)

Was having a look on your website, and was excited to see a link to CAF modifications - http://www.createaforum.com/mods/


However, clicking it simply takes you back to the homepage? Why?


Also, what sort of mods will be available?  :)

General Support / Is there a quick way to save all Shout History?

We're switching over to a new Shoutbox from the default one you can activate; is there a way to quickly save all the Shout history in to a file?


Was copying and pasting shout-by-shout over more than 250 pages of history, all of which have shouts overlapping the previous page - so, as you'd guess, it's been a tedious process  :D


Before I carry on (still in the 200s and it's been 30 minutes  :o :D ) - is there a way to quickly download/save it all?

General Support / Can you add your own Post Rank images??

Hi,


Was wondering if it's at all possible to add your own post rank images - met a brick wall when part of the URL was already filled in to the page where some are already uploaded   ;)


We use the paw-print images, and at the moment members need 50, 100, 250, 500 and 1000 posts to move to all five paws. The problem is, whilst we have plenty of members working through this, we have others on more than 2000 posts  :D


So, was thinking of editing the five-paw image so the paws stay, and these members can keep progressing like before with a different colour filling in each paw until it gets to five full ones again.


Would this be possible at all  ???

General Support / Is there a way to see how many page views etc your forum has been getting?

Just wondering if there's any way to analyze traffic on your forum: how page views have changed over time, where links redirecting people to your forum are etc.

Understand if there isn't, but asking just in case I've been missing something other than the Forum Stats page? Thanks :)

Suggestions / Tagging

By typing a user's name, e.g. @griffgrof the @ tags the user and alerts them.


This would be useful on busier forums, where there are lots of posts and you need a user to answer to one but you fear they may miss it.


It's already a feature on another free forum provider - would love to see it here  ;D [size=78%]  [/size]

Style Support / How to add an image to the header

I'd really appreciate a reply!  :)


I'm moving my forum back from the Christmas theme to the default template which this support forum also uses.


I want to put an image as a header, like the Christmas theme has by default (the Christmas tree,) instead of that blue space at the top which the default brings (unlike this forum, our logo drags the space down quite a bit so a lot of it is plain and wasted)


Found the part to modify, which matches the position of the code on the Christmas theme, but nothing is happening when I paste the image URL ... Well, a square of it is appearing then disappearing and reappearing in the background  :o


So: What am I doing wrong?
      And will I need to copy over some code from the Christmas theme to make it work with an image for sure, as     this style clearly does?

Am testing the Christmas Style to update my forum tomorrow, but it's coming up like this:






I'd be very grateful if you could advise how to prevent the white lines at the top as the image repeats itself... perhaps by resizing the image, but how?
