Hello,
A new member has registered. The name is in the pending list but I was also expecting to see an email requesting confirmation. This has worked in the past. Attached is a screenshot of my setup. What am I missing?

I found the problem. When I sent the email with the link to the site, the description and the actual link were different, so I sent them to the wrong place. So, my mistake.

The person I invited also received an email from tapatalk confirming her membership in the tapatalk forum... which she didn’t request!

Hi,
Ok, so this is weird.

I had previously created a forum with Tapatalk groups that I had been experimenting with and that I ultimately decided not to use.
I then sent a friend the link for my forum created with Create a Forum. She registered. Create a forum sent me an email to approve the registration. I logged into the forum and approved her registration and sent the automatic generated email to notify her. So far, so good and as expected.
But then I received an email from Tapatalk confirming that she had joined the Tapatalk forum! I did not receive an email confirmation from Create a forum. She also says that she did not receive the confirmation email from  Create a Forum either.
I checked the members in Create a Forum and she is in fact registered and was able to log in. But she is also registered in Tap a Talk!
What is going on and what I can do to avoid it in the future?

How can I be the guest, if I (and nobody else) is logged in?
I do not understand what you mean by bot? What does a bot do? Can the bot  'see' the posts and other perhaps private information on  the site?

What is Create A Forum policy regarding backups? How often do you do them? How long does it take to recover a site if an administrator does something really dumb?

I have noticed that when I am logged out of my site, the statistics pane, which is still visible,  shows 1 Guest on line. However I am absolutely sure that I have not allowed any guests to register and that no other users are assigned as guests. In fact, right now, as I experiment, I am the only user. Is this a bug? Or what?

Bugs / Custom Menu Tabs do not work

Hello,
The administrator function 'Custom Menu Tabs' does not work properly. It is possible to create custom menu tabs, but the position box does nothing, regardless of the number. So it is impossible to position the new menu tabs. They are always placed between Profile and Messages (and not after Messages as stated on the page).

A nice feature to have if it can be fixed.

Hello,
I understand that the administrator can change the default language of the site if he purchases a language pack.

However how does the individual user override the default? I do not see anything in the user profile that allows him to select the language. Is theme dependent?

ok, finally figured this out after a lot of trial and error. A worked out example would have been helpful since the distinction between board and member permissions and profiles is not obvious.

I am still hopelessly confused... I have a hard time understanding the difference between board permissions and group permissions and profiles.

1. I create 2 membergroup profiles Group 1 and Group 2. I want both Groups to read and write all Boards except the special board. Group 1 should be only able to read the special board and Group 2 should be able to read and write the special board. The two Groups have the same permissions, but Group 2 has only one member, the member that should have read/write access to the special board.

(Question 1: when I create a group, what is the difference between "inherit from" and "Based off of".Question 2: When I select "board the membergroup can see", does "see" mean read and write?
2. So now, I go to the Board itself. What do I selecti as the Permission profile. I should think it should be Group 2? or read only? and what do I put as allowed groups Group 1 or Group 2? In fact I want both Groups to see the board, but only one should edit it.
I am really confused.

Here is what I cannot quite figure out:
I created a new membergroup and assigned the user to the membergroup.I created a board that is read only. Both my regular members  and the new membergroup are allowed groups.
Now how do I assign the membergroup to the board so that the new membergroup can post, but not the others?
