General Support / Re: Getting many Cloudflare errors

I am not experiencing and nobody is reporting continuing to have the issues. I asked, I got very few responses. I assume this is in the category of "people only say something when there's a problem" and life is fine.

NBT (California):

"I've been getting the Cloudflare/handshake error, error code 525. I got it about 3 times in the last 5 minutes.

It has a little list, browser, internet and site. Each time it says haxnuts is the issue."

Me: 3 errors while trying to view the list on awesome ratings, all 525 errors.

Paloma (DC/MD/VA area):

"I was getting the cloudflare/handshake error most of the time.

I did get one, and I don't recall the code, which said something along the lines of the cite having problems/not found.  It was not the cloudflare page - and I will be sure to note exactly what appears if I get it again.  :) title=Smiley"

Tryp_OR (Midwest):

"I have seen both the 252 and the Cloudflare handshake errors multiple times in recent days.  Unlike the problem a couple weeks ago, when I could not connect for hours at a time, these tend to resolve pretty quickly and F5 (Refresh) usually gets me back."

N.B.: Pretty sure he meant 525 not 252, and that's a typo.

It's been SSL Handshake failed, I'll ask peeps to note the error code so I can pass it along to you.

We have been getting a bunch of cloudflare errors in the past 24 hours. I assume a new wave of bot attacks, but posting for notification and confirmation.

Bugs / text formatting options disappeared
« on: February 07, 2026, 09:31:02 pm »
I was posting to notify my members about the bot attack/slowdown... and discovered I didn't have the option to change the color of the text to indicate my moderator/admin "voice".

See attached - the area where the formatting options should be is gone entirely.

This happened last week but appears to be persistent as an issue. She sent me the attached screenshot of the error message that she's been getting.

regret to inform that you are likely to run up against issues with the older mac. iMac 10 years back is no longer supported for new/current OS.

Okay, really, 8 years back is no longer supported.

No idea on the laptop side... I replaced before it got to that point. Work is stingier with cash flow. lol.

1) I'm Mac based, and I can't loan you my shiny new laptop (only 8 months old), but if there's any way I can help, let me know.

2) As far as features - the one thing I know we would like is the ability to multi-react to a message. Meaning select multiple of the awesome reactions for a post. From my forum's major discussion today, in response to another post "I didn't know whether to go with funny or agree, so I went with..."

It's not uncommon that someone responds with a gif just to get around having to try to pick one that most strongly reflects their response.

ETA: I will also ask for any other ideas when I poll for the interest on the iPhone side.

I have at least 15 people in my forum who would like an iPhone version please. I will poll to see if there are more over the weekend.

General Support / Re: Why am I seeing Ads top of my forum on mobile?
« on: January 27, 2026, 03:05:29 pm »
thanks for responding, I see now it's all about money and ad on's
Fairly common for websites that are ad supported. They need income, it's not free for them to host this. If they're not going to get income from the ads, they need to replace the income from somewhere else.

Changed due to bots so removed credits and lowered cost.

Question about this:

Existing Ad free credit subscriptions we will be moving over time to the unlimited ad free plans, no change needed on your end, and you will keep the same pricing.

Currently, my forum has the unlimited ad-free pages for $14.95. Does this mean that the cost will drop to $7.99 automatically? The "you will keep the same pricing" part has me confused.

D'oh. I actually missed this was about the mobile layout and I was talking about the desktop/web browser layout....

<hangs head in shame>

Please ignore.
No worries either way it is in the same spot desktop team as well under your displayname top right.
Good to know - but I would still have to dig into the CSS to increase the font size in the quotes. It's hard for *me* to read at points, and probably works better on mobile than on desktop.
