Title: [REQUEST] Codes for my website, please!
Post by: guest879 on September 04, 2011, 08:03:19 pm
Hello, I'm Jeenso and I'd like two codes for my website.

One for customizable profile. Like, you can embed layout, and there can be an area above the actual profile for junk and things, like a ton of avatars. I joined a site where I could do that once. ^_^ I can add in the music and this myself, right?

And another for a dock/award system, where mods and above can award money. But it's not money, could you please call it 'randomness' and enable mods and above to be able to award or take away randomness from the users?

THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH!

-Jeenso

I'd also appreciate if you could add to that docking and such if you make it so they could buy avatar rights, signature rights, PM rights, and um....*thinks* if you could have it so I could add more things to buy?

Is this too complicated? Sorry. >_>

-Thanks for the link. =]

You might wanna mess around with permissions and create new membergroups for each rights you want. Note that members can be in multiple membergroups at once so it might be the right thing for you to do it this way

Oh that's what I was doing, but I didn't like it a lot. >_>

Also, the customizable profile doesn't work the way he said it would. >_> Darn.

But it'll change the stars, putting them in different membergroups.

Plus, it's annoying to have to change them all. XD And I can't get signature rights that way.

But I'm not as picky as I used to be, so I might have to stick with what I'm doing after all. using karma as money. >_>

Wow, thanks! ^_^ You're so helpful!

EDIT: The money code works, but not to my needs...are there any other ones?

I'll give you a little info about this forum service here first. This forum service uses SMF 2.0 software, this same person made a service called SMFForFree which became kinda popular and there's a huge list of codes made for it. The thing is, that forum software was on 1.1.14 so many codes there are rendered useless here. I can say you can pick up a few codes that will work but that's it. Here's a list below:
http://www.smfsupport.com/support/smf-for-free-codes-and-support/code-index-(updated-112309)/
http://revolutionx.smfforfree3.com/index.php/board,13.0.rxindex/sort,subject.html
http://smcodes.smfforfree3.com/index.php/board,8.0.smcindex/sort,subject.html

Also, most of the codes you see in the lists above uses something called Jquery which is just like Javascript however much more better. Simply put this in your headers:
Code: [Select]
<script src="http://code.jquery.com/jquery.js"></script>

So I'd put that in the header, and I'd put the other codes listed in those places in the footer? Thank you. ^_^

Yes but note that many of them DO NOT work for CreateAForum

Yes- adding on to what xboi said, since many codes on those sites will not work here, it is suggested that you try putting them on a test forum to see what happens- that way, if they hurt your forum, your main forum won't be affected.

Oh ok.

By the way, what do I do with uh...php codes? Trying to get a theme to work, but it doesn't look like the picture, and there are php forms and some stuff like that...
