Title: Newsletter upgrade
Post by: mickjav on April 15, 2020, 12:54:08 am
Hi I'm thinking of getting this upgrade as my site is starting to move the way I want,  from reading i know i can send to group's like mods but what i would like to do  is have my members subscribe to one or more news feeds and be able to unsubscribe.

Can your  system do that.

Thanks keep safe mick

The newsletter right now just does mass email to groups. Are you looking to setup signup forms? Or what do you mean by subscribe to a news feed? Is that a topic on a forum?

I am looking for members to be able to opt out of receiving mass mail messages this would require an option in there profile.

There is an option under Profile -> Notifications
" Receive forum newsletters, announcements and important notifications by email."

Cool I'm creating my newsletter offline as I want to store them and I can code the variables so they are simpler to attach where I want plus I'll be storing things like the header image code so I can reuse it on all news.

Thanks mick

Have sent my first newsletter but noticed the following

I unelected admin but I recieved a copy but is iit set to always send admin a copy?

When I sent to members 48 soon as I clicked the button my pc browser went white it did send as my mrs got hers but I had to use the back button to return to the site.

Other than those seems to have worked perfectly

Thanks mick

P.S. My daughter didn't get her copy she have a gmail account I check with her later just in case it's taking time mick

I will post a copy of the tool I'm building to help build newsletters but it will require ms access
