Hello, I want to know why you people give the option to make (ad-free) payments with a credit or debit card. But, you force us to create a PayPal account during the payment process.
I have a sponsor for my Project work, and I just want to make a payment and continue about my business... Tell me there's another way to go about doing this without having to create or use a PayPal account?!

Don't really have any other options. I can do payments via zelle but will be a manual process.
Paypal should take credit cards without requiring an account though.

That's not what I found. I went to make a payment, clicked the correct button, and at the end of the page, the last fields expected me to fill in an email and a password.
If PayPal should take credit cards without requiring an account, tell me how to do it. Please.

Don't fill in the username and password skip the step at creating a PayPal account.
I just tried and seems ok

I tried that... and it lit up like a red traffic light.
Besides that, the last section with bottom two fields is headed "Create Your PayPal Account."
So, to review, I clicked on the singular button for $14.95/mo for Unlimited Ad-Free credits.
Filled in the Credit/Debit card fields, and the Billing & Shipping fields, and left the "Create a PayPal account" fields blank.
Did not tick the "Please create my PayPal account now..."
And, clicked the button at the bottom that says "Create Account and Subscribe."
And, the last two fields lit up red!

Are you against creating accounts at places in general?

No. I just realized why I'm having trouble. You all might want to make a note of this...
A couple of months back, my sponsor and I created a PayPal account with that Debit card #.
PayPal might just be recognizing the debit card number, because we recently created an account with that number.
I haven't tried it yet, but I think that's been the trouble.
And actually, this is the kind of trouble people have... when we don't write down, or lose account information like this...

Yep, I ended up just using that PayPal account to make the payment.
I hadn't thought of that before, because we had decided to delete that PayPal (individual) account, in favor of recreating a new Business account in order to receive payments online.
Sorry for the trouble... but I do think this is a good lesson for others...

Today, I just tried to update my payment subscription with a new card, on my Paypal account.
However, my current VISA Gift card it was not accepted like in previous months, and previous cards.
There seems to be very subtle difference.
That difference being this current card can only process one-time payments. It can not be set up for reoccurring payments. This is complete news to me, and more than frustrating and upsetting because I was given NO warning when purchasing a slightly different card
Is there any way I can process this month's payment as a one-time payment for the two boards (sites) I'm covering?!

Until I find a new sponsor, I have to purchase a new Visa Gift card (each month) to process my payments. This month being a mistake, I won't make again! Next month, I'll go back to the type of card successful in previous months.

- User Name: csrmnforums, $14.95 cover November 17 to December 17, 2020

You said you would make a note of this. Yet, this Duplicate Payment for November 17 to December 17.
December 17th payment will come from a different card.
The current debit card ending in 6669 was used only for this month of November, for other companies, other online expenses.
Please refund ASAP!
