I wasnt able to get on my forum in time to move my ip address over too the new server. I have already changed my domain names ip. is there anyway I can get it back?
-
As soon as you make the ip address change the forum will be back online.
-
Dont I have too do that in custom domain on my forum?? if so I can't access the admin section of my forum.. I have tried many times using .createaforum.com and my domain name.. I have also changed the ip address on my domain name.
-
No you would change at 1and1.com where you have the domain. Check the post for the new ip.
-
I have changed both of my name servers too that ip and it doesnt work I have given it 24 hours.
-
Still says old ip according to http://intodns.com/charliealphaco.com
-
Strange... would it work if I made my actual domain name the ip instead of using the namservers?
-
Maybe never tried.
-
what could be some reason that this isnt working
-
with my 1&1 domain name I don't point to the servers, I just re-direct it to the createaforum address, under 'destination'
-
Thats what I used too do. But then i got it too work so i didint need to do that. Now this server change has seemed too mess me up somewhere. I feel like im making some stupid mistake somewhere. Now when you go to my forum it says this:
Multiple Choices The document name you requested (/index.php) could not be found on this server. However, we found documents with names similar to the one you requested.

Thank you for your help createaforum support. it seemed too be my domain host that was causing the issue. But now everyone else seems to be able too see the forum but me. I dont understand.
-
Might just have to wait your computer maybe caching the old domain.
You can try command line
IPCONFIG /FLUSHDNS

Thank you again for all you help, you were so much more help than my domain host. I can now access my forum. thanks again.
