I have created a private board BUT my moderator cannot SEE or access it unfortunately, not sure where I have gone wrong.
Obviously I have not permitted members (any) to see/post on this board, yes I have added my moderator but only me can see it still.
advice pls?
-
You made sure that the "moderator" (or whatever you have them down as) box was checked when modify who can access the board?
-

I suspect it's due to not adding member groups, but I don't want members in there
-
You just want admins and mods to see the board, right? Check the "Global Moderator" box.
-
no difference
-
Maybe try removing the names and just check Global Moderator? If that doesn't work then, might have to wait for the professional (Create A Forum) to see what's up then.
-
some help would be great
It's ok found answer as always it's an ADD ON FOR $20

I don't want the WHOLE forum private just ONE board on the forum private for admn's and mods
-
Oh, wut. o.o
-
Just make a board and give permissions only to admins For that forum and that will do the similar thing.
-
yep did that but my Moderator cannot ~SEE the board??
-
You have to put the moderator in a membergroup and give that membergroup access to the board.
-
see that's the problem I don't want any members in that private board so can you explain how to do this please? thanks
-
some support would be nice here. thanks
-
You can do it under Admin -> Manage Boards
Then when you add or edit a board you choose which membergroup to use.
-
I must not be explaining myself well at all here, I don't want ANY members on that board JUST admin and moderators so how can this be achieved pls
-
Your moderators are a member group. Their member group, if not changed, should be "Global Moderator"
-
tried global moderator and she still cannot see board
-
And she is part of the global moderator memergroup?
-
am hoping to have resolved this by creating another category for Admin & Mods
-
If it is a subboard the parent board has to be visibile to that membergroup as well otherwise it won't work.
-
it is a sub board but still cannot be accessed
-
Did you get the parent board permssion???
-

you need to explain in layman's terms what needs doing here pls
-
Is Jill easton in the global mod group is that person who can't see it?
-
YES
-
still not resolved this issue, some support would be nice
-
Create me a login with admin access and pm me the information to take a look.
-
have given you access, but no idea why you went to wrong forum

hmm so why cannot any of them SEE this sub board pls?
-
Are they in the admin modeators group?
-
they are all moderators
-
Doesn't matter. You have to edit their profile then under account settings put them in the admin/modertators group
-
thank you that finally worked, going into each moderator account/settings and add to 'user group' Admin/moderator.
Shame you couldn't have just said this earlier. Please don't assume we all have degrees in computer science. Although I think I'm pretty good your explanations are bare minimum only
