Is there a way to make the ignore function work so that a member who has another member on ignore does not have to read that other member's post?
-
Let me put this another way - when you put someone on ignore, you can still see their posts. How do you change this?
-
It shouldn't do that the post should be collapsed. Will need to check on that.

Were you able to find a solution for this?

This is my forum.

Not as of yet still need to do testing for it.

Was there a follow-up on this issue?
I have someone on my ignore list on the Come All Within forum (http://comeallwithin.createaforum.com/general-discussion/) and yet I still see his posts.
Is the Create a Forum ignore list documented anywhere? How is it supposed to work?
-
There is not much documentation other than Profile -> Edit Ignore List
Posts contents are hidden unless you click uniqnore in the posts.

Thx for the quick reply, but it doesn't seem to be working.
Here's my ignore list and an example of a post which is still visible.
Am I doing something wrong?

Did you add the color blue on the bottom post??? You might seen since you are an admin or mod?
-
It's sorted. Someone on my forum had the tip.
It's not enough to add someone to your ignore list, you also have to tell the system to "Hide messages posted by members on my ignore list." You do that in the Profile, "Look and Layout" options.
In the Profile, "Personal Messaging" options you also need to make sure "Receive personal messages from:" is set to "All members except those on my ignore list".
Cheers.
(The blue, by the way, was configured by our Admin. The colours are Harlequins colours (https://www.newrugbykits.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/07/Chris-Robshaw-Quins-Jersey.jpg)!)

Ah that makes sense. I guess we should have "Hide messages posted by members on my ignore list." on by default.

That would be the more intuitive option, in my opinion.

Is it possible to make it so that posts that quote the original post will have the quoted portion collapsed? One of my users is really upset that several people quoted the ignored person's post and he was able to see all of them.

Not easily no.
