For the unlimited account it says 250mb is that total storage of the entire site or just downloads and avatars etc. ?

Also does the unlimited plan allow me to use my own domain name?

For the 250mb .
Is 250mb in attachment space and 250mb in gallery space.
No limits for other things such as avatars.

You can use a custom domain name with any plan.
