Title: Set Forum Width?
Post by: Chris 85 on July 25, 2014, 09:45:32 am
After much searching, I found one result, but it was archived!

Sooo, how do I set the forum width? ("standard/common" width?)

While on my 24" 16x9 monitor (1920x1080), it stretches across the whole screen and appears to be excessively wide with the overall size too spread out, while on my 15" laptop, larger posted images get scrolled.

Can it be reduced to having blank spacing on left and right sides, but on smaller screens it would reach across whole screen? Maybe max. width of 1500pix?

I reduced the max image size to 800x800, though it is re-sizing images, but I'm not wanting images to have a scroll bar if possible on 15-17" screens of common resolution.

(it's been too many years since my XHTML class!)

Update...

Changed in "div#wrapper" the max width from 2300 to 1500, no apparent change, as the forum seems to stretch across the screen at any size.

Anybody?

This is standard stuff that I'm sure people know, seeing this IS the support forum.

I am sorry this is not something I know much about in terms of CSS.
Here is a link on CSS
