Title: Problem with redirection
Post by: dmpworld on July 04, 2014, 04:05:42 pm
Hi again,
I owe a domain on Wordpress.com named DMPWORLD.NET.
We've created the subdomain FORUM.DMPWORLD.NET and have linked it to DMPWORLD.CREATEAFORUM.COM.

The A entries are OK under the domain with and without www.
The verification have been done with Createaforum, and I've activated the change of URL.
Since it works for the link but I can't connect to the forum. It tells me "Need to fill in a username".
Wordpress doesn't allow us to add the NS.

Is there anything you can do from your side ? We can't connect to the Admin Board anymore.

Cheers,

Looks ok when I l click on the link  DMPWORLD.CREATEAFORUM.COM.

Any reason why you did www. in front?

we've setup both.
should I remove the one with www. ?

we have : A forum.dmpworld.net points to 184.171.171.98

it looks ok when i click on dmpworld.createaforum.com but then when I click somewhere, it switch to forum.dmpworld.net (which is what I want), and when I want to connect under forum.dmpworld.net, I can't.

Just to test, I removed the A entry with the www.
I still can't login or register as a new user. There must be something wrong and I can't access to the admin panel to ask to use the old URL.

Try now. Keep the A entry with www.

It works ! Thanks a lot.
I'll put the A entry with www. back then, as I already removed it.
