Title: Forum Calendar Question

How do I add things to the Calendar without them showing up as an event? For instance, the calendar comes pre-loaded with basic holidays and birthdays of member's automatically show up. But how would I add something like "Canada Day" and have it appear the same way as "Independence Day" does?

Members birthdays are not showing up on my forum - http://thecommonroom.createaforum.com/ - in spite of dates of birth being entered in their profiles. If I need to enter dates on the calendar, where is the calendar to be found?
