I was wondering if I can edit the welcome message a new member receives when joining and if so, how would I do that? At first I thought it was welcome configuration, but after looking at that I am unsure. Can someone explain this as well?

We have a welcome topic system which you can setup in the admin area.

Where can I find it?

Been wanting to know the same thing. Thanks for asking. I found the info.

Not quite sure if possible.

I set it up and I registered a new member to test it, and it didn't work. Is it because I did something wrong, or because I registered the member through the admin section?

Registering through the Administration Center may have caused that problem. Try creating a test account on your forum.
