I go to a site ( http://miamidolphintalk.createaforum.com )
The admin has left without a trace, is there any way you can contact him to ask
if he would turn the forum over to me?
The place is being terrorized by spam accounts and I would like to clean it up.
I'm sure West Tex would not mind if you made me a moderator. Please help. Thanks.

Not much you can do try PMing the admin.

I tried PMs ......galore, but either he changed his addy, or he set his settings to
not receive emails when PM'd or he died. He no longer logs into the site, and hasn't
posted nothing in almost 2 years. Back in the day when we had a forum on the
Old World Crossing board he was there often so something is definitely up.
Sure wish there was something that could be done.

Thanks Pizza Boy for doing this. The administrator who started the forum, known here by his "West Tex" moniker used to go by "verminatorX" prior to changing his name to West Tex. He was the admin of the WorldCrossings forum by the same name until WC closed down for whatever reason(s).
Approximately 3 or 4 years before WC closed West Tex or "verm" as I like to remember him by had to be hospitalized with a heart problem that he had while he was on line posting on our beloved Dolphins worldcrossings message board. He did manage to survive that and he did explain what had happened right after he returned I just can't recall what it was. Just that it was a heart problem and that he now had to take heart meds regularly to prevent a similar occurrence.
Very possible he passed on. Hopefully the powers that be here at create-a-forum can help us with our dilemma.

It will not be possible for Createaforum to give admin powers. It's natural for forums to close so creating a new one is the best thing you can do.
-
how many members are on there? you can always make a new forum and ask for back up files to be moved to new site.
-
We have about 30, backup files aren't necessary. I was just trying to avoid getting everyone having to change forums and
re-register. Thanks for the info, I will try a new forum I guess.
