http://gofunforum.com/ (http://gofunforum.com/)
For the purpose of getting a little extra search engine indexing, would like to write a few pages.. Articles, blog like posts, etc ..
I do not want these viewable to forum guests/members... Just in the background so to speak..
Is there something I need to do when creating a page that will keep in invisible/separate from the forum ?
-
Just set permissions only to administrators for the page and then no one else can see them.
-
Do you suppose Google web bots will still be able to crawl the page if I set it to be accessed by admin only ?
-
No they can't
-
I created a trial page.. (http://www.gofunforum.com/index.php?action=ezportal;sa=page;p=1)and checked all the boxes so everyone and anyone can view it.
Looks like even though the page is there, a "page" tab was not added to the top of forum..
So unless I am not seeing some other way for people to view it, and as long as I do not create a tab..., then it won't actually be viewable, yet web bots can access it ??
-
Pages in ezportal do not create their own tabs.
-
Does the CreatAForum have any blog features ?
Looked but not seeing anything..

If guests can access it, then bots can access it. However bots won't be able to find it if you don't link the page somewhere on your forum.
What kind of blog features are you looking for?

Right now I managed to get the forum really nicely indexed.. Always on the first page as related to "Go Fun Rewards", combined with a few unique key/meta tag key words ( discussion, forum, and support ) that separate me from all the other Go Fun Rewards websites.
This is great for having an excellent presence within the online world of "Go Fun Rewards".. But.. the folks who find me based on this, are generally already signed up to the affiliate program..
What I am trying to do is attract people who are out searching for affiliate network marketing related business opportunities, and have never ever heardof Go Fun Rewards..
My thinking is that by somehow piggy backing off the established power of the forums Google indexing to some how utilize that towards targeting outside of actual Go Fun Rewards.
I did add some other key words to the forum title.. MLM, network, and marketing.. Not sure why Gooogle has not recognized the new title yet.. Been a few days now.
So thought, as an example, that my adding those additional key words to the forum title, people searching for "MLM Network Marketing" related key words would maybe help these kind of people find the forum..
So....... Ttying to think of ways like perhaps a blog, or page attached to the forum for the purpose of targeting "MLM Network Marketing Home Business Opportunties, etc "
Just trying to think of ways to target this other group of people searching..
I may be completely wrong and trying to use the power of the well extablished foums indexing will make no difference at all..
