I've looked around and I've been trying to find a way to get rid of the icons used for the menus as I think my forums will look better without them. For what I mean here's a screenshot:

I want to get rid of all of those icons, I've seen them removed off of other SMF forums but can't find the option and I couldn't find anything through Google.
Is there anyway I can get rid of them? I couldn't find them in the 'custom images' section.

I would need to write some code to disable images for menu icons maybe this weekend.

For temporary solution, you can make a small image (like 1 pixel) of a dot the same color as the tab background and use the "Replace image" code found in step 3 of this guide (http://support.createaforum.com/guides-and-tutorials/%28guide%29-using-your-own-rank-images/) and use the URLs of the images on the tabs in the "old image" and the URL of your 1 pixel image for the "new image". This would make it seem like there was nothing there. Just until CAF gets a chance to write a code to hide them.

I did an invisible .png file with the intention of doing that, but couldn't work out how to replace the images. :) However, your solution works great! Thank you.

Is there a way to filter out the titles for each icon? I made custom images to use with the titles on each button and the code above for the footer worked but the text after each icon is still there and throws everything off. If not it's cool but any help greatly appreciated. ;D
