You can disable the ezportal homepage under ezportal settings uncheck that option.
Homepage is useful if you want a portal with news/articles as the first page.
Ok, then I'll leave the homepage. Now, I've been searching the admin CP For a way to write an article on the homepage, without success. Instead i'm given another ''homepage'' to write the article, obviously, users and guests will not be able to see it so i'm wondering how news & articles can appear in the homepage. HTML EZ block comes to mind, but I enabled it at the left for links.

I would also like to ask how can I make the new domain name to link to the board index, ie
http://kolathechemist.createaforum.com/index.php?action=forum,
instead of the homepage
http://kolathechemist.createaforum.com
the homepage is kinda empty, and i wish i could scrap it off so the board index is both board index & home,
OR,
Could you enlighten me on the importance of the homepage?
-
You will know if the domain works if you visit the domain name that it goes to your forum.
-
Pls sorry for lots of questions. You said i can change to the new domain when it's working.
How will i know if it's working? And if it's working, how can i change to the new domain?
-
You don't have to. You can change to the new domain when it is working.
-
Does this mean that I don't need to activate maintenance mode during the 48 hour period?
-
48 hours to park a domain yeah your old subdomain will work fine before you change the url over.
-
Pls How long does it take to park domain? Will the forum be accesible to members during this period?
-
Both still work but your new domain is now your default access point
-
Thank you for your reply.
Pls what happens to the .createaforum.com domain when the new domain has been successfully parked
-
If parking a domain you do no need hosting just a domain name.
-
i want to park my domains, and i'm given the following options
Storage Space
500 MB
5 GB
10 GB
20 GB
100 GB
200 GB
Traffic/Bandwidth
2 GB
20 GB
40 GB
80 GB
400 GB
800 GB
pls i'd like to know which options i should choose.
N/B: They go together, ie. 500MB storage space and 2GB bandwidth,
5GB storage space and 20GB bandwidth, etc.
Advice will be very much appreciated.

Michel
