Word Editor malfunctions

I have been having trouble with the Word Editor. It won't keep the settings that I use. I also need more writing space so I don't have to break the subject into segments. I cannot find a place to reset the letter count.

Are you using the standard editor like this forum? Is WYSIWYG mode enabled?

We also support SCEditor

Found under Admin -> Post and Topics -> Use SCEditor instead for posts
