What does the paid version of chat look like?
« on: August 06, 2016, 11:13:15 pm »
Howdy all, I'm a noob here.  Some friends and I are building a new forum for our gaming clan and would like to add a chat wall, not a simple shoutbox but a full blown chat wall.  I understand there is something like that for a $30 one time fee.  That being said, is there a way we can demo this chat function or possibly see a forum that has one running so we can decide if it will work for us and do what we want.

Thank you in advance.  Any information is greatly appreciated.

Great.  Thank you for the quick response.  We are playing with it now.  The Ajax chat seems pretty cool but does it allow you to post a picture inline or is it strictly a link to external images?  If not, is there another chat function that can run within createaforum or is this the only option?  I guess a better way to explain it is we are currently using Band for our gaming clan.  We love the chat wall and the ability to post pictures (screen caps, memes and such) inline, however we setup a forum where we can post game strategies, load outs, etc.  We would love to have everything in one place and leave Band so we are hoping the createaforum chat function will do it.

Thank you

Dean

That is the only built in chat room system that we have that is integrated with system.
I could maybe install https://www.cometchat.com/ but that would be an extra charge to install/setup.

Once again, thank you for the quick response.  Great customer service.  We are currently playing with comechat.  I am curious, how much would it cost to install and run comechat?  We may want to go that route.  Currently our game clan is around 70 members but we are affiliated with a few hundred other members.  I don't know if you are familiar with gaming and in particular Destiny on Xbox and Playstation.  We were once members of an international organization called Dads of Destiny that had over 50 thousand members at one time.  They had some internal issues so several of us smaller clans broke away from the organization and formed a new one.  If this forum/chat works out for us, the other clans may switch over to createaforum too.  We are testing things out right now.

Thank you for answering all my questions.  I appreciate your time.
