Need Help to Reset Domain & Sub Domain Mapping
« on: February 07, 2017, 02:35:50 am »
Hello.

I recently created an account at http://matgyverforum.createaforum.com/

I then tried to link it to a subdomain forum.matgyver.my.
However, since the subdomain does not use www. , I could not log in to the forum because it always redirects me to
the www. prefixed URL  www.forum.matgyver.my

So, I didn't know how to reset the domain without logging in as admin, so I removed the CNAME in the hosted Domain,
hoping that the forum will reset back to the default 'given' sub-domain.

Need help to:
1) Reset the forum back to the original subdomain  http://matgyverforum.createaforum.com/

2) I will definitely try back to re-map the forum.matgyver.my in the domain,
but is there a way to remove the default www. prefix in the custom domain registeration area ?

The domain I have does not support www. pre fixes, only direct URL.

Thanks in advance for your kind support.

Thanks!
That was quick!
Now the forum hsa reverted back to the original Domain.

Anyway, next, I would like to ask, under the Domain Option, step 2:
Domain Manager and Domain Parking
"Step 2:- Add the domain to our system [/color]Enter your domain name that you wish to park
http://www. "

I believe the http://www. is set to be the default pre-fix.
My domain sub-domain provider does not support this http://www. prefixes.
It only supports http://sub.domain.com structure. (without www.)

When I log in after updating the forum URL with a new domain, the "submit" or "login" or "register" button and functions,
will these automatically have http://www. prefix?

If that happens, I won't be able to log in even as admin when the the new URL is functioning.
