RE: custom tab url?
« on: February 14, 2013, 07:57:43 pm »
Hi Everyone

Im new to createaforum, and think its great, im currently using a different hosted forum company and im not happy at all, for one facebook wont let you link to it and another is the show new posts button doesnt always work, and several other reasons
so i decided to move to createaforum, whih seems much better
anyway, i am in the middle of creating my forum and i am trying to add a custom tab for the rules to go under.  ive figured out that you have to go to the admin pannel and then style manager>custom tabs, but i dont understand from here. it asks me to put a url in, which url do i put in? and also, once i have created this tab, how do i put text on the new page?

Thanks, Villager

Well if you want to make pages you can create custom pages in ezportal in the page manager area.

Then when you have a page created it will give you the page url.

Use this page url in the custom tab url field when making the custom tab.

Hello

I have a similar situation however I do not use EzyPortal.

I created a custom tab to make it easier for members to go to a certain category. That works fine. I used this url http://thenewretreat.createaforum.com/index.php#c2

My 'problem' is I went to create another one to go a different category. I cannot work out the URL to use for the second one.
I used the same one and of course it takes Me to same category.

How do I work out what the URL should be for the second custom tab please and where would I find it? I checked out the FAQ and the tutorials but was not able to find anything.

Thanks

Sir Rob

#category_X <--Replace X with a number
All codes I make are tested on the latest version of Google Chrome and upon request of other browsers.
