Question with new forum.
« on: July 07, 2012, 11:49:03 pm »
I recently created a new forum using this site but was wondering how would I go about changing the url to a domain name i purchased some time ago?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

In the Admin area of your forum find the link to the Domain Manager follow the instructions listed on that page to park your domain.

Thanks for the quick reply, I found the Domain Manager and read through the steps but am now confused where it is telling me to create two new nameservers containing the information:

then replacing the name servers on the register.

As you can see, there are 4 original domains, yet I only have 2 to enter, and am unsure which one goes where.

Next, you need to change the nameservers on the domain to ns1.yourdomainname.com And ns2.yourdomainname.com

That's the second part after you create ns1.yourdomainname.com And ns2.yourdomainname.com  where you would enter that information in.

Not familiar with register.com I would try contacting their support
