Pop-Up Links
« on: December 08, 2011, 08:19:35 pm »
What the hell is happening here? The last day and a half a ton of words within my forum have suddenly turned into pop-up links. It's one thing to have a big banner flashing in the center of the Forum which I'm okay with, but it's another thing when words/text are now being turned into links. I find this very annoying as do the rest of the members.

Under Hardware, check iPad in the description. Also, it's everywhere with Admin as well. Not just the front page.

Not seeing any of the links.
Do you see any of this forum? You would have the same ads that this board has as well.

Did some research it sounds like you are infected by malware or another program installed that enabled those ads

To me it sounds like an automated fishing link and will not go any further with regards to clicking on that link till I get a confirmation that it's legit.

If it is a malware infection, you'll want to run a scan with: http://www.techspot.com/downloads/4716-malwarebytes-anti-malware.html
All codes I make are tested on the latest version of Google Chrome and upon request of other browsers.

Well I guess problem solved? Also, It's easy to tell if an advertisement is fake and I think this one is a scam.
