Newbie questions about your forums
« on: February 22, 2025, 02:07:40 pm »
I was playing with it for a few and tried to drop a photo from my pc and failed, is this not a option?

other questions?
Can I add a home page link sending it back to my main site?
Will I be able to export all my users info and posts down the road if need be?

1. Attachments are allowed or you can use our photogallery option. What was the exact error message
2. Yes you can create a custom button under Admin -> Style Manager -> Custom Menu Buttons
3. Yes a one time fee for an SQL backup of $30

thank you..... me dropping a photo in the text box was then a error on my part. I am hoping to be able to post a small howto blogs in the forums with a few images.

I did not see the photogallery option so please point me in the correct direction... and if what im trying to accomplish isnt possible please point me in the correct direction.

I saw the attachments and other great tools and I think im down to figuring out the photo part as well as the ability to add like say a youtube video.... I have done this in other forums using html code.

I am hoping to use this forum to help other with there construction or DIY projects so it will take a pounding over time and may require its own server, but time will tell

The photo gallery system can be found under Admin -> Gallery Configuration
There is a ton of settings to really customize it.
Member group permissions Set up under Admin -> Permissions

Fwiw - when you add an attachment by choosing the file, it looks like what you want to do is use the option for how it displays - the default is "end-of-post expandable thumbnail", but you want to change that to one of the in-line options so that it sits in place for a step by step explanation.
