New, and a Problem already with Login ID
« on: October 24, 2016, 07:57:04 pm »
I just set up a new board.  I stated with this ID, but with an apostrophe in front.  The board set up fine and that's how the ID shows.  But it timed out on me and now won't let me back in, says invalid character in ID.  The Fix login doesn't let me work with that as far as I can see.

How do I log in or get the ID fixed?

OK, that worked.  It didn't at first but after a couple of PW reset emails, I'm back in.

Thanks, but why did it let me set it up that way to begin with?

A bug will make sure you can't enter special characters in usernames.

That's what confuses me though.  It let me do it initially.

Oh well, no matter.  I'm in now.
