Problem Registering Domain Name
« on: May 09, 2015, 08:03:06 pm »
Hi.  I purchased a domain through Go Daddy earlier this week.  However, I am still not able to register the name servers on the Go Daddy website.  Every time I do it blocks me saying that the name servers are not set up.  The host names where set up with no problem.

 Nameserver 1:
Domain: ns1.yourdomainname.com (ns1.sincitysweepers.com)
 IP Address:184.171.171.98
 Nameserver 2:
Domain: ns2.yourdomainname.com (ns2.sincitysweepers.com)
 IP Address:184.171.171.98

Go Daddy is saying that the problem is on the Create A Forum end and that you possibly changed these server names.  They also said that every website usually has multiple name servers set up.

The only thing that I was able to do so far is put this new domain name on forwarding with masking.  The old name was locallasvegassweepstakes.createaforum.com  Go Daddy said that this name change shouldn't make difference.

Are there any other name server names that I could use?  Please help me.

Godaddy calls them host records

Or you can create a DNS A record pointed to the IP of createaforum

I just realized that I was entering in the wrong host name or host record.  Instead of just ns1 and ns2 I was entering in full names.  You might want to clarify the directions in the admin section.
