Need help with a domain and security

So i purchased a domain through GoDaddy and tried to plug it into createaforum however when i do this an point the DNS to it my site that it is linked to does not like it. It messes up the forum and does not come out right. I had to go back to the original createaforum domain for now because it isnt working. Can anyone help? also my browser is telling me that the site is not secure and is at risk. Anyone had that problem? I 've never had these problems before with other sites?

My domain i purchased is wikkedtackleforum.com and my current forum URL is https://wikkedtackleforum.createaforum.com/index.php. I own the website www.wikkedtackle.com and right now am using the second URL as a redirect. I can change it to my domain i purchased and it goes all crazy.

Do i update this on my website or on the domain settings for the forum? i updated my website to that address and the forum is still messed up.

Ok i got the redirect to work. However my concern now is that my browser says the connection is not secure. How can i fix this so my customers can feel secure?

You shouldn't have to.
I visited your site just now at wikkedtackleforum.com and it looks ok on my end.

For a custom domain for SSL you would need the SSL upgrade under Forum Upgrades ordered.
