ILA Options Dropdown Box
« on: March 17, 2019, 11:54:38 pm »
Hi, thanks for CreateAForum.

Many members have asked if the default behavior on the ILA display options dropdown could default to the third item in the dropdown list "Inline full-sized image".

Looking at the html, this SELECT is named/ID'd as "inline_format".  The default now is the first option "end-of-post expandable".

Thank you.

Scott

Hi CaF.

Could you look at the behavior of the ILA Options Dropdown?

At least for the Office of Steam Forum (I'm helping to support Gil Garceau), there are now only 2 options in the <SELECT>.

Also, even tho the third option is chosen via the Admin>Features>ILA, the old first option appears as the default to the user ("End-of-post expandable thumbnail")

Thanks

That happens if the basic menu option is chosen. That removed multiple options the page in the settings area.

You mentioned this happens when the "Show Only Basic ILA Options"  is checked but for the Office of Steam Forum, this is not checked.

I think (maybe) the option values in this <SELECT> are possibly not correct or something else is happening because when I select the third option (full size inline), the post comes back as thumbnail.

                     <select name="ila_post_option" id="ila_post_option" >
                        <option value="0">End-of-post expandable thumbnail</option>
                        <option value="1">Inline expandable thumbnail</option>
                        <option value="2" selected="selected">Inline full-size image</option>
                        <option value="4">Inline short text link</option>
                     </select>

I truly appreciate all the help.

Still not working.

Choosing Inline Full Size still embeds as thumbnail

Thanks

Hello CaF.

Could you please investigate?

For the Office of Steam, if a user creates a post and adds a photo without changing the ILA_options Dropdown, the photo gets treated as a thumbnail (even tho default selected is "Inline full size").

This behavior has been confirmed by multiple posters as recently as this morning (March 20).

Thanks.

Hello.

We're hoping you could take a look at this issue for the Office of Steam Forum.

All photos are being attached as thumbnails.  Default ILA drop down not be honored.

Thank you very much
