HTML ezBlock
« on: March 26, 2012, 01:47:17 am »
I apologize if this has been asked already. I am having a difficult time in getting this Block to work the way I want it to. I am trying to use this block to describe what my group is and what our goals are. Is this the correct block for this? Secondly, How do I get this text to show ocrrectly?
I am an extreme novice, I apologize.

A HTML eZblock is the correct block to choose in your situation. However I do not see the block when I go to your forum so I don't know what's wrong with it.
All codes I make are tested on the latest version of Google Chrome and upon request of other browsers.

I just checked and had removed it. It is back now. In the block data field all I entered was Welcome to Parazona Investigations and nothing was showing.

I also have it set so that only GLobal moderators and Admins can see the EzPortal for now. I hope you can get in.

Since we don't register to look at forums, you will either need to temporarily make it so guests can see it, or take a screenshot so we can actually see the issue.

I don't see anything in there either, maybe try deleting it and create another html block? I also can't recreate the problem so I don't know why nothing would show. The last option could be that I create a code for you if no one can solve this.
All codes I make are tested on the latest version of Google Chrome and upon request of other browsers.

There IS nothing there. That's the problem I am having. I selected to have an HTML ezBlock, but all that shows is the header. There is not content underneath it because I can't get the content to show. When you go to our forum, you should see: Shout Outs box and beneath it the Birthdays box on the left. On the right you should see our Twitter box with the Members Online underneath it. In the middle I have a huge empty space with a header that says HTML ezBlock. I am pulling my hair out trying to get content there.
Please, I like my hair.  ;D

Maybe I should tell you what I am doing.
After I login, I click on Admin>>ezBlock Manager>>EDIT (for the HTML EZBlock)>>In the TinyMCE Editor I try to click on HTML.
This does nothing. If I type in the block data, characters come up but after I click Edit ezBlock>>Save ezBlock>>Go to Home Page to see the result, nothing is there.

Well would you allow me access to your forum so I can try?

Oh, you're using the TinyMCE editor. That only allows certain types of HTML. Try disabling JavaScript and then putting the code in the block normally.

The problem was that he was using Internet Explorer.
