There is a built in shout box if you want to use that, but there's àlso higher quality chat boxes you can find. For the shout box, enable ezportal and then there'll be an option to add it. For a chat, what I do is create a new page in page manager, then go to xat.com, chatbutton.com, etc. and get a URL for a box. Then paste the URL in the new page's content box (you have to disable tinyMC). Then you have a new chat page. I suggest going with a chatbox, but it's up to you. If you need me to clarify, just ask.
