 a bot is an automated application used to perform simple and repetitive tasks that would be time-consuming, mundane or impossible for a human to perform.

Amila- before asking questions here, it is best to do the following in this order:

- Do a search on the forum
- Do a Google search

To answer your question, a "bot" in this case would be more like a "spider". Spiders crawl your website going to random URLs. Rest assured that if they do not have permission to do the action it says they are doing that it isn't really happening.

A good example would be the spider going to boardname.createaforum.com?action=logout
Leads to "Logging out of the forum" in the Who's Online list.

In this case, the spider went to http://ebey.createaforum.com/index.php?action=movetopic;topic=221 which leads to that message in the Who's Online list.

Royston- you did a Google search for a bot, but that is the not correct kind of bot that browses websites.
